Tree Notes is a small desktop utility from Vovsoft, a publisher of low-cost Windows tools. Notes live in a classic two-pane layout: a tree on the left where pages can be nested and rearranged, and a rich-text editor on the right with bold, italics, underline, bullet lists, fonts and inline images (JPG, PNG, BMP). The whole notebook is saved in a single local file, which makes backups and moving between computers simple, and nothing is uploaded online. Notes can be imported from and exported to DOCX, HTML, RTF and plain text, and the app comes as an installer or a portable edition that runs from a USB stick. It supports Windows XP through Windows 11 (32- and 64-bit). The download works as a free trial with a nag screen and no commercial use; a one-time $19 license removes the reminders, allows commercial use and includes lifetime updates.
