About

Recall saves articles, YouTube videos, podcasts, PDFs, and your own notes, then summarizes, tags, and connects them in a knowledge graph you can chat with. It adds spaced-repetition quizzes to help you remember what you consumed.

Recall (formerly getrecall.ai, now recall.it) turns content you read, watch, and listen to into a connected personal knowledge base. With one click from the browser extension or mobile share sheet you can save web articles, YouTube videos, podcasts, PDFs, tweets, TikToks, recipes, and more; each item becomes a 'Recall Card' with an AI summary (with timestamps for video and audio), smart tags, and automatic links to related cards. An automatic knowledge graph visualizes these connections, and 'augmented browsing' resurfaces relevant saved content while you browse the web. You can chat with your saved knowledge, the open web, or both, choosing models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others on the Max plan. Recall also includes a Notion-style block editor for personal notes with tables, to-do lists, and code blocks, Listen Mode text-to-speech, bulk import of bookmarks and Markdown notes, and quizzes with spaced repetition for long-term retention. API and MCP access are available on every plan. Recall began as a side project that trended on Hacker News in late 2022, was founded that year by Paul Richards, Igor Gligorevic, and Sankari Nair, is headquartered in Amsterdam, and says it has more than 700,000 users. It is unrelated to Microsoft Recall and to the meeting-recording API Recall.ai.
