MindManager is one of the longest-standing mind mapping applications, originally released as MindMan in 1994 and carrying over 30 years of development. It goes beyond traditional mind mapping by integrating robust project management features including task tracking, resource allocation, dependency management, and Gantt chart views. Users can create mind maps, flowcharts, org charts, timelines, Gantt charts, and Kanban boards all within a single workspace. MindManager offers deep integration with the Microsoft ecosystem including Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams, making it a natural fit for enterprise environments. A built-in presentation mode allows maps to be walked through step by step, and exports are available to PowerPoint, PDF, Word, HTML, and various image formats. Originally developed by MindJet in San Francisco, the product was acquired by Corel Corporation in 2021.
